Cuti panjang sungguh

Saya baru kembali ke ofis setelah 6 hari bercuti. Nasib baik perlis tak ambik cuti tahun baru, kalau tak mesti saya akan teruskan hinggallah ke hari ke tahun 2009 dan kembali ke pejabat pada 5/1/09. Ho! Ho!...

tapi bercuti panjang-panjang pun tak bagus jugak. saya rasa pedas bila baca blog YABhg Tun Mahathir yang menulis berkenaan cuti di blog beliau.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. I came home from Yemen on Thursday, Dec 25th. It was Christmas Day and offices were closed. I was tired and appreciated the holiday. I was too tired to visit Christian friends even. I merely wished them Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, via my blog.
2. The next day I went to work. Kuala Lumpur was quite empty. Then I realised that many, including Government servants had decided to take Friday off, so that they could have a really long holiday because Saturday and Sunday would be weekends and as a bonus Monday would also be a holiday being the 1st of the Muslim New Year. Five days holiday. We can go round the world in that time.
3. But after Monday holiday, workers in the public and private sectors can take time off for two days until Jan 1st when we will have another holiday. If we are smart we can actually have eight days holiday. Time to fly two times round the world.
4. What about work? Not to worry. During that time the Government and the private companies will be on automatic. Aircraft can fly on auto-pilot safely. We are on the ground. We will not crash.
5. It shows that we really don't need a Government. It will just coast along even if no one is steering it. That is how good we have become at governing.
6. I am sorry for the poor policemen and other staff who have to be on duty during the holidays.
7. Have a nice holiday - or is it "holidays".
ada sapa2 lagi yang rasa pedasnya ...
aktiviti saya masa bercuti itu hari, tak lah menarik kalau nak di kongsi. boleh dikatakan hari2 makan kenduri. sampai jemu..
so tak ada lah cerita menarik nak di kongsikan.
yang mungkin menarik sikit, student pun dah mula kuliah. dan aku pun akan ulang benda yang aku ajar dari semester lepas.
tapi semester ini, beban akan bertambah, kalau semester lepas satu kelas (40 student), untuk semester ini 2 kelas, bermakna 80 pelajar..
dan dapat la aku bayangkan betapa sesaknya dada aku nanti...
Salleh was sacked, says Dr M
PUTRAJAYA: Tun Salleh Abas was sacked as lord president but obtained a pension on grounds of compassion, said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
He refuted the suggestion made by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, who said Salleh and two of the five other judges involved in the 1988 judicial crisis had not been dismissed but were asked to retire early.
"The judges were sacked as far as I know," Dr Mahathir said.
"The pensions were given on compassionate grounds.
"Now, he (Salleh) gets RM5 million and I'd like to congratulate him for that," he said with his trademark sarcasm.
He said the decision to allow Salleh's pension followed an appeal after his sacking in 1988.
"There was an appeal and we thought despite the fact that he was sacked, he had rendered service to the government for the years he was there.
"To cut him off completely and deny him pension would be very cruel, so it was decided that he and the other judges were paid their pensions," he said at the youth values and future leadership forum and the launch of the 2008 Salman Sayang Malaysia Charity Triathlon at the Perdana Leadership Foundation yesterday.
Salleh was removed from office for misconduct by a six-member tribunal.
